Africa still screens as one of the clearest global growth frontiers in 2026, but the opportunity is not “buy Africa” in the abstract. The money is in specific corridors where macro stabilization, hard infrastructure demand, and strategic capital are lining up at the same time.
The latest official picture is constructive:
The **African Development Bank** said Africa grew **4.2% in 2025** and is projected to grow **4.3% in 2026**, with **12 of the world’s 20 fastest-growing economies** in Africa in 2025.
The **IMF** said Sub-Saharan Africa is “holding steady,” with **4.1% growth in 2025** and a modest pickup in 2026, but with financing, debt, and external-shock risks still elevated.
The **IEA** said private-sector clean energy investment in Africa rose from about **$17 billion in 2019** to **nearly $40 billion in 2024**, even while the continent still faces a massive energy-access gap.
The **World Bank** is still deploying real money into digital infrastructure, including a **$137 million** West Africa regional digital integration package announced in March 2026.
